ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The American Athletic Conference announced schedule pairings for the 2020-21 season on Wednesday.
The league's 11 members will play a 16-game schedule. Each team will play six of its 10 opponents twice, and four opponents once each – two at home and two away.
In the single-game pairings for 2020-21, UCF hosts Houston and Memphis, and travels to ECU and SMU. The Knights play South Florida, Cincinnati, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State twice, both at home and on the road.
The complete 2020-21 women's basketball regular season schedule with dates and times will be announced in the fall.
UCF finished second in the league standings in 2019-20, matching its highest finish in the conference. Head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson led the Black and Gold to their fourth consecutive 20-win campaign in her fourth season at the helm.
The Knights return four starters for the 2020-21 campaign, including third team all-conference selection Brittney Smith, rising seniors Masseny Kaba and Courtajia Sanders and rising junior Diamond Battles. In all, UCF returns seven Knights that saw action last season while welcoming the incoming freshman trio of Colleen Bucknor, Maniya Custis and Ashton Verhulst.
