ORLANDO – The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the field of teams and brackets for the 2020 Tip-Off Tournament on Thursday, naming UCF as one of the teams participating.
The annual NCAA men's exempt tournament sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will take place Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Eight schools will compete in two four-team brackets with campus round games leading up to the Mohegan Sun Arena contests.
Teams scheduled to participate in this year's Tip-Off Tournament with UCF are Marquette, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Albany, Lehigh, Long Island, and Quinnipiac.
"The Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament has proven to be one of the best early season events in the country, offering great competition and an outstanding venue," said John L. The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will continue to serve as the host conference for the annual event. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is also proud to continue its relationship with Learfield IMG College for sponsorship representation of its portfolio of collegiate events.

The field will be split up into two brackets, the Naismith Bracket and the Springfield Bracket. UCF will play in the Naismith Bracket with Marquette, Minnesota and Rhode Island.
UCF will also play a campus-round game as part of the tournament, hosting Quinnipiac on Nov. 18. The contest will be played at Addition Financial Arena.
The Knights will begin play at Mohegan Sun on Nov. 21, taking on Minnesota in the semifinals of the Naismith Bracket. The winner will take on the winner of Marquette and Rhode Island on Nov. 22, while the two losing teams will play in a consolation game on the same day.
