ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – Rising senior Masseny Kaba was recently recognized as a member of the Boston Herald All-Decade Basketball Team.
The Dorchester, Mass., native was one of 15 players recognized who met the criteria of playing at a Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association School between the 2010-11 and 2019-20 seasons and having standout athletic credentials.
A two-time MVP of the Catholic Central Small, Kaba guided Cathedral to consecutive Div. 4 state titles as a junior and senior. Kaba reached the 1,000-point plateau during her senior season and earned a pair of Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors.
The accolades continued for Kaba since becoming a Knight. As a freshman in 2016-17, she was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Freshman Team. Appearing in all 33 games as a sophomore, she helped UCF earn the first at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in program history.
As a junior in 2019-20, she tallied a career-best 30 blocks and was the leading rebounder for the Black and Gold with 6.7 boards per game.
