ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's tennis team will be hosting a rewatch of their 2018 College MatchDay victory over No. 25 Michigan on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. ET.

The Knights were 6-2 going into the match, preparing to face their fourth ranked opponent of the season. UCF started the 2018 dual match campaign with a thrilling win over No. 15 South Carolina at home. They went on to beat No. 16 Baylor as well to keep the momentum going midway into the season.
The Black and Gold went on to earn their first NCAA Tournament victory later in the year, defeating No. 39 FIU 4-3 in the first round. UCF nearly upset nationally seeded No. 16 Miami in the second round, falling in a tight 4-3 contest.
The 2018 team finished with a record of 20-5, collecting their highest win total since 1998. The team paved the way for the 2019 Knights to excel as they went 24-4 and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
The victory over the Wolverines could be considered as one of the pivotal matches into shaping what the women's tennis team is today. The win was the first of an 11-match winning streak that saw the Knights beat three conference foes and two additional ranked opponents.
