ORLANDO – Reports surfaced late Saturday night following the conclusion of the 2020 NFL Draft that three more UCF football players are heading to the NFL. Adrian Killins Jr., Nate Evans and Nevelle Clarke reportedly signed undrafted free agent deals to begin their professional careers.
Killins (Daytona Beach, Fla.) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, Evans (Waggaman, La.) joined the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Clarke (Miami, Fla.) signed a deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
Having left UCF in the program's all-time top 10 in eight different categories, Killins was know to Knights fans as the fastest player in college football. A few of his career achievements are listed below.
- Ranks fifth at UCF with 2,459 career rushing yards
- Ranks third at UCF with 6.1 yards per carry in his career
- Ranks fifth at UCF with 25 career rushing touchdowns
- Ranks fourth at UCF with 4,361 career all-purpose yards
- Ranks fourth at UCF with 34 total touchdowns scored in his career
- Ranks eighth at UCF with 1,038 career kick return yards
Killins burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2016, recording 6.5 yards per carry and 25.1 yards per kick return, which included a 100-yard kick return touchdown. He also ran for an 87-yard touchdown at Michigan.
His role expanded in 2017, starting 12 games and earning first-team all-conference honors after rushing for 790 yards and 10 touchdowns, while adding 169 yards and a score through the air. His 6.47 yards per rush set a new UCF single-season record and he helped lead the Knights to a perfect 13-0 season, and American Athletic Conference Championship, the 2018 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Championship and a national championship.
Killins was a second-team all-conference honoree in both 2018 and 2019, rushing for 715 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior and 629 yards and eight scores as a senior. He helped lead the Knights to another perfect regular season and AAC Championship in 2018.
Another integral part of UCF's recent success, Evans came into his own as a junior in 2018, earning first-team all-conference accolades in The American. He totaled 99 tackles after inserting himself into the starting lineup in the fourth game of the year.
After helping to lead UCF to a conference title in 2018, Evans was the Knights' top tackler in 2019, finishing with 112 and ranking second in the AAC with 8.6 stops per game. He added 13 tackles for loss on the year, earning second-team all-conference honors and honorable mention All-America honors from Phil Steele.
Clarke, who started with UCF in 2015, was a part of UCF's 2017 perfect season, 2018's second straight conference championship and leaves the Knights with 29 career passes broken up and five interceptions.
The Miami native led UCF with 11 breakups as a senior in 2019 and ranked second in The American with 13 passes defended, adding two interceptions. He earned first-team all-conference honors in 2018 and honorable mention accolades in 2019.
Killins, Evans and Clarke join teammate Gabriel Davis in the NFL, who was selected in the fourth round of the draft by the Buffalo Bills.
