ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF women's Golf head coach Emily Marron announced on Wednesday the signing of Camille Banzet to a national letter of intent.
A native of Fegersheim, France, Banzet is currently a member of the French National Junior golf team.
As an amateur, Banzet has won multiple events around the world. She took first place at the 2019 U18 Evian Junior Event in Evian-les-Bains, France and at the French Junior Championship U16 Qualification in 2018. Banzet tied for second place in the qualification round at the 2018 French Women's Championship.
Other notable finishes include a top 25 finish at the 2020 Spanish International Women's Amateur Championship, carding a top 35 finish at the British Girls Amateur Championship and a top 20 finish at the Junior Orange Bowl in 2017.
"We are really excited to welcome Camille to our program this fall!" Head Coach Emily Marron had to say of the addition. "Camille's game is very impressive, and she only continues to get better. She has played in high level events around the world and that experience will help her on the college level. I was really impressed with her maturity when she visited with us and am confident she will transition easily into our team this fall!"
Banzet is the second signee to the UCF Women's Golf 2020 class after Jess Baker also signed her National Letter of Intent in November. Fans can read the full Baker signing release here.
