Max O'Hagan Named First Team All-American

NORMAN, Okla. – Florida Tech golfer Max O'Hagan added yet another award to his already illustrious career as the senior was named a Division II PING First Team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday.

This is the fourth All-America honor of O'Hagan's career, giving him one for every year he has played for Florida Tech. This is his first time receiving All-America first-team laurels.

O'Hagan excelled in the seven tournaments the Panthers competed in during the 2019-20 season. The senior recorded six top-8 results during that span, including one win, while shooting par or better on 14 of 20 rounds this season. O'Hagan ranked as the No. 3 player in the nation, according to Golfstat.

He earned his second career victory this season at the Matlock Collegiate Classic in February. O'Hagan scorched the links at Lone Palm Golf Club, firing off rounds of 69, 66 and 67 to win by nine strokes over the second-place finisher.

He set school records for lowest 54-hole total (202) and score vs. par (-14) at the Matlock Classic. Those are just two of the 14 career and single-season program records that O'Hagan attached his name to during his career.

Additionally, this year the Surrey, England native set program season records for scoring average (70.90), average score vs. par (-0.80) and par-4 scoring (3.955).
