Knights Open 2020 Campaign at Metro Cup

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF rowing team opens its 2020 competitive season on Saturday at the 40th Annual Metro Cup in Winter Park.
 
The Knights, who have won the Robin Yeuell Trophy for nine consecutive years, line up on Lake Maitland Saturday morning. Racing starts with the Varsity Eight at 8:10 a.m. 
 
Following the V8 race, UCF's Novice Eight races at 9 a.m. The Varsity Four races at 9:50 a.m.; Second Varsity Eight at 10:30 a.m.; Varsity Four B at 10:50 a.m. The Novice Four rounds out racing at 11:20 a.m. 
 
The award ceremony will take place at 12:05 p.m.
 
Following the Metro Cup, UCF returns to Lake Pickett to host a home regatta on March 20. The Knights make a trip to Charlottesville, Va., March 27-28 for the UVA Invite before heading to Sarasota April 3 for the Sunshine State Invite. From April 18-19, UCF travels to Clemson for the Clemson Invite. The UCF Regatta takes place on April 25 followed by the Eastern Sprints in Worchester, Mass. on May 3.
 
The five-time defending American Athletic Conference champion Knights look to defend their title when they travel to Sacramento, Calif. on May 16.
