Levashova Earns Third Player of the Week Nod

ORLANDO, Fla. – After another dominating week that saw her combine for a 4-0 record across singles and doubles, Evgeniya Levashova has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week. This marks the third time the junior has won the honor this season.

The Knights were on the road this weekend for a pair of matches in New Orleans as they faced No. 29 Old Dominion and Tulane.

Saturday saw Levashova match up against Old Dominion's Yulia Starodubsteva who was ranked 105th in the country. After a tough first set that saw Levashova win in a tiebreaker, she went on to cruise to a 7-6 (7-0), 6-3 victory to help the Knights dismantle the 29th ranked team in the nation 6-1. Sunday was more of the same for Levashova, beating Tulane's Mackenzie Clark who had been ranked earlier in the season in straight sets.

Levashova teamed up with Domenika Turkovic at the No. 2 spot in doubles this weekend and picked up a pair of 6-2 victories. After being ranked earlier in the season, the tandem once again sits in the doubles rankings at No. 65.

Levashova now stands alone as the only Knight to three-peat the conference player of the week in program history.
