Adams Named Florida Class 4A Player of the Year

ORLANDO – UCF men's basketball signee Isaiah Adams was named the Florida Dairy Farmers Class 4A Player of the Year on Monday after leading Paxon into the Florida High School Athletic Association final four for the second consecutive season.

Adams, a 6-foot-5 wing from Jacksonville, averaged a double-double with 23.7 points and 11.1 rebounds per game as a senior for the Golden Eagles. He added 2.9 blocks and 2.2 assists per game to earn the accolades.

He received 132 points in the balloting, more than 80 votes ahead of the runner-up. Adams is now one of seven finalists for Florida's Mr. Basketball award.

Adams, along with Jamille Reynolds out of St. Petersburg, signed with the Knights in November and are scheduled to suit up with UCF for the 2020-21 season.
