LAS VEGAS – The Knights started play at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Invitational in Las Vegas on Sunday, shooting a combined 300(+12) to finish tied for eighth place.
Johnny Travale, who was the individual champion at the Tavistock Collegiate back in October, helping to lead the Knights to victory with a 204(-12) total, is leading the way once again for UCF as he sits squarely in fourth place after round one with a 71(-1) total. Travale posted four birdies on the day, including three consecutive on the back nine.
Teddy Tetak and Clement Charmasson trail closely behind with 74(+2) and 75 (+3) totals, respectively. Tetak is currently tied for 21st overall and Charmasson is tied for 28th among individuals.
Rounding things out, Juan Delgado shot 80(+8) in the first round of play while Guillermo Estivill posted an 82(+10) total.
The Southern Highlands Collegiate Invitational will continue Monday as the Knights tee off on hole 10 to begin the second round at 9:35 am PT. Fans can follow along live here.
