Eason's play seemed to get better as the tournament went on as he posted rounds of 68/66/63/68 (-23) to earn the victory. Going into the final day, Eason held a two-shot lead but was tested throughout the day by Max Rottluff, who finished the tournament in second place with a 266(-22) total. Rotluff began the day with a birdie. Meanwhile, Eason birdied two of his first nine to finish with a 34-stroke total on the front nine. It came down to the final hole where Rottluff found himself with a 16-foot putt to save par but couldn't manage to put it down. Eason then placed a drive down the fairway and secured the victory with a two-putt par to win the tournament by one shot.
Eason was a member of the Knights from 2010-2014. During that time, he accumulated seven individual wins, which remains the record for the most career victories in program history. Eason also still holds the program record for lowest single-season stroke average of 70.21.
