Knights Welcome Tali Marmen to the Squad

ORLANDO - The UCF Volleyball team is adding a new face to the roster in the form of Vitalia Marmen, UCF Volleyball head coach Todd Dagenais announced on Wednesday.

Marmen, who goes by Tali, has experience playing for the Israeli National Team and comes to UCF from Rutgers, where she played for the Scarlett Knights from 2018-2019.

"Tali will be a wonderful addition to our program for a couple of different reasons," said UCF Volleyball head coach Todd Dagenais. "First of all, her pedigree as a player in Israel means that she has been trained by Arie Selinger, who is an absolute icon in the sport. Tali has been exposed to training at the highest level from a very young age."

Marmen, a 6'2" outside hitter, was a powerhouse for the Scarlett Knights, racking up over 200 kills and ranking 11th in the nation with 0.34 aces per set in 2019.

Marmen will add some key depth to the hitter positions that currently consists of returning outside hitters McKenna Melville, who will be back for her junior season, Morghan Chambers, who was a freshman red-shirt last fall and incoming freshman Mary Beth Headley.

"Tali has been playing a tough Big 10 schedule and knows what it is like to go up against some of the finest players in the world night in and night out," said Dagenais. "The fact that she served two years in the Israeli army means that she is coming in as a more mature and experienced person that is going to be a great mentor for our players."
