Box Score (PDF)

NEW ORLEANS – The No. 25 UCF women's tennis team began conference play with a bang by sweeping Tulane 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at City Park Tennis Center.

Tulane was short a player from the start, therefore forfeiting the third doubles spot. The Knights started fast in doubles and made quick work of Tulane on both courts. Evgeniya Levashova and Domenika Turkovic started things off as they defeated Lahari Yelamanchili and Christina Sisti 6-2 on court two to seal doubles. The remaining doubles court would be played out as No. 29 Ksenia Kuznetsova and Valeriya Zeleva topped Lauren Gish & Mackenzie Clark 6-2.

Due to Tulane being short a player in singles and the Knights taking the doubles point, UCF would begin singles with a 2-0 edge.

Sara Culbertson was the first Knight to earn a singles point as she picked up a straight set win on court five 6-2, 6-3 over Sisti.

Levashova wound up clinching the match with a victory over Clark on court one by a count of 6-1, 6-3. Levashova advances to 8-1 on the season with a 6-1 mark at the top singles spot.

The remaining courts were played to their conclusions with the match already decided. Turkovic tallied a win at the No. 4 singles spot as she edged Gish 6-4, 6-4.

Nandini Sharma claimed another singles point on court three, defeating Yelamanchili in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 1-0. Kuznetsova sealed the sweep as she topped Adelaide Lavery, winning in straight sets with a pair of tiebreakers.

The shutout is the third of the season for UCF with their other sweeps coming over Cornell and Nebraska.
