ORLANDO – After a season that saw the Knights win the American Athletic Conference championship tournament and advance to the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row, the UCF Volleyball team will compete in four matches this spring as they prepare for the 2020 season.
The Knights will open their spring schedule on March 25 at 6 p.m. against Stetson at The Venue.
"We are going to take a step back this spring and really learn the offensive and defensive systems that has led to our success over the past couple of years," said UCF Volleyball head coach Todd Dagenais. "We have young players that are going to get opportunities to finally get on the floor and show what they can do."
UCF will travel to Miami to face the Hurricanes on March 28 before heading to Gainesville, Fla. on April 1 for a rematch of the NCAA tournament second round against the Gators.
The spring season will come to a close on April 5 when the Knights take on Florida State at Sante Fe College in Gainesville. It will be a rematch of the NCAA tournament first round where UCF defeated the Seminoles, 3-2 to advance to the second round for just the third time in program history.
"Spring for us will not be about wins and losses but rather about progressing as individuals and as a team," said Dagenais.
