UCF Game at Georgia Tech Moves to Friday Night

ORLANDO – UCF's first 2020 road football game at Georgia Tech has been moved to Friday, Sept. 18, to accommodate a nationally televised broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, Sept. 19--then ESPN expressed a desire to televise the game in prime time on one of its two flagship networks.

"We're thrilled that ESPN thought enough of this matchup to want to move it into an exclusive prime-time window," UCF vice president and director of athletics Danny White said.

A kickoff time and specific television designation will be announced in May when details of the first three weeks of the 2020 season are confirmed.

UCF already has five games in 2020—Sept. 4 vs. North Carolina, Sept. 18 at Georgia Tech, Sept. 24 at East Carolina, Oct. 16 at Memphis and Nov. 27 at USF—that will be televised nationally by one of the ESPN networks.
