UCF Checks in at #33 in Oracle/ITA Rankings

Opens in a new window Oracle/ITA Team Rankings - Feb. 25

ORLANDO, Fla. – After checking in at No. 24 in last week's Oracle/ITA team rankings and remaining dormant for the entire week, the UCF men's tennis team now sits at No. 33.

The Knights haven't played in a match since Feb. 9 when the Black and Gold went into Illinois and took a 4-3 victory from the Illini. UCF will be looking for their third and fourth straight wins as they host FAU on Saturday and Stetson on Sunday.

The Oracle/ITA team rankings switched from ballot based to computer based last week. The computer rankings shifted from taking a team's top four wins to taking their best five wins this week. The Knights only have four wins at this point. The Black and Gold were No. 24 in the last ballot poll and the first computer rankings of the season.

New Oracle/ITA team, singles and doubles rankings will debut on March 3. The USTA College Tennis Top 25 has the Knights at No. 21 this week, down just one spot from the week prior.

UP NEXT
The Knights will face FAU at 2 p.m. this Saturday at the UCF Collegiate Tennis Center at the USTA National Campus. UCF will turn around and play another match Sunday at 11 a.m. as they host Stetson.
