ORLANDO, Fla. – The UCF men's soccer team is set to kick off their spring campaign as they'll host Jacksonville at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Knights will play in four matches as part of the Florida Cup as well as a lone match against the Orlando City B squad.
The Florida Cup is a collection of eight teams playing in single tournament throughout the spring. The eight teams are divided into two divisions, with UCF in the north division consisting of Jacksonville, North Florida and Stetson. Depending on the Knights' place in the division at the end of their three matches, they'll face the same seed in the south division in the Florida Cup Final.
UCF will take a quick break from the Florida Cup schedule after facing Jacksonville as they host the Orlando City B team on Feb. 29 at 10 a.m. The Knights will then host North Florida on Mar. 7 at 6 p.m. before traveling to Stetson on Mar. 28 at 6 p.m. to wrap up divisional play.
UCF will face a member of the south division in the Florida Cup Final on Apr. 4 to wrap up the team's spring schedule.
All spring matches are free to attend.
