ORLANDO, Fla. – The No. 16 UCF women's tennis team will host three opponents at the UCF Collegiate Tennis Center at the USTA National campus this weekend as they resume action after 11 days without a match.

The Knights start the weekend by facing their fifth straight Power 6 opponent as they'll square off with TCU Friday at noon. Later in the day, UCF will play only the doubles portion of their match with UC Santa Barbara. The rest of that match will be finished on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. Another full match will be played that afternoon against Nebraska, capping the weekend.

The Knights are coming off a win in their last match against No. 18 Texas A&M. The Black and Gold took the doubles point as well as four singles courts on their way to a 5-2 win. Evgeniya Levashova has been a rock so far in singles, posting a 4-0 record to begin her career at UCF. Valeriya Zeleva has posted a 4-1 mark thus far with her most recent win at the top spot in the lineup.

TCU comes into the weekend with a 2-0 mark on the season. They opened the 2020 campaign with a 4-3 win over Rice before sweeping New Mexico with a 4-0 decision. Sophomore Mercedes Aristegui leads the way in singles for the Horned Frogs with a record of 2-0. She was ranked No. 81 to begin the dual match season but is currently unranked.

UC Santa Barbara visits Orlando with a record of 1-4 on the season thus far. The Gauchos won their first match of the year over the University of San Francisco by a count of 5-2. They played some tough opponents after that, losing to FSU, Miami, USC and UCLA. UC Santa Barbara will face Nebraska earlier in the day before battling UCF in doubles at 5 p.m. The Knights and Gauchos will conclude singles play at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Nebraska boasts a 4-1 record to this point in the season. They began the 2020 dual match season with sweeps over Sacramento State and FIU before sweeping a double header against Air Force and Creighton. Their lone loss was in their last match with Baylor, a 6-1 decision.
