ORLANDO, Fla. – The Knights are set to tee off the spring 2020 season as the host of the UCF Challenge from Feb. 2-4, marking the team's only home event of the 2019-2020 slate. The 54-hole tournament will be played at Eagle Creek Golf Club, , a par 72 course totaling 6349-yards.
The No. 36 Knights will compete in a 16-team field that features seven top 40 teams, including No. 3 Kent State, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 14 Illinois, No. 15 Oklahoma State, No. 39 Miami and No. 40 Iowa State.
Competing for the Black and Gold will be Tunrada Piddon, Maria Balcazar, Ana Laura Collado, Alyssa Lamoureux and Elizabeth Moon. Freshman Tunrada Piddon placed first overall at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Nashville, Tenn. in her second tournament as a Knight. Alyssa Lamoureux also has a top five finish while Elizabeth Moon has two top 20 finishes.
Junior Chinatsu Kobayashi and freshman Dimana Viudes will also be competing as individuals at the UCF Challenge.
The UCF Challenge is set for an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday, Feb. 2 and fans are welcome to attend all three days at Eagle Creek Golf Course at not charge.
