ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team returns to action this weekend, heading to Lexington for the Rod McCravy Memorial.

The two-day meet begins Friday in Nutter Field House. The field events begin at 2:30 p.m. with the weight throw, while the track events begin at 4 p.m. with the 60m dash.

UCF is back after a bye weekend from competition. The Knights opened the 2020 meet with a strong showing at the Orange and Purple Elite on Jan. 11.

A pair of personal bests and a second place finish in the 200-meter dash led Shian Hyde to American Athletic Conference Female Athlete of the Week honors on Jan. 15. Hyde's 23.37 time in the 200m is the conference-leading mark and ranks second nationally. Her 7.40 60-meter dash is second among conference competitors this season.

Ciara Holback opened with a 23.95 time in the 200m and 7.48 60m time, both of which put her among the top five on the conference performance list.

Eleven Knights made their debuts in the season opener, with eight posting top 10 finishes in their respective events.
