Delgado Concludes Play in 2020 Latin America Amateur Championship

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico (UCFKnights.com) - UCF men's golfer Juan Delgado wrapped up play in the 2020 Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) this weekend, finishing tied for 24th overall after shooting 299(+15).

Delgado competed amongst a 108-player field comprised of some of the top male amateurs in the region. The sixth edition of the championship took place from January 16-19 as athletes played the 72-hole, stroke-play event at Mayakoba's El Camaleón Golf Club on the Riviera Maya.
 
Delgado has played in three tournaments for the Knights to this point in the 2019-2020 campaign, including leading the way for The Black and Gold at the Intercollegiate at Innisbrook, where he shot 214(+1) to finish tied for 12th overall.

The Knights return to the course for their spring season when they play in the Gator Invitational from February 15-16 in Gainesville, Fla.
