ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) ­­– Current UCF men's golfer Juan Delgado is in competing in the 2020 Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) this week, beginning with first-round action on Thursday.

Delgado is competing amongst a 108-player field comprised of the top male amateurs in the region. The sixth edition of the championship takes place January 16-19, 2020. Athletes will play in the 72-hole, stroke-play event at Mayakoba's El Camaleón Golf Club on the Riviera Maya.
 
Delgado has played in three tournaments for the Knights to this point in the 2019-2020 campaign, including leading the way for The Black and Gold at the Intercollegiate at Innisbrook, where he shot 214(+1) to finish tied for 12th overall.
