ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Four UCF Men's Golf alumni represented The Black and Gold in the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica qualifier over the week, as Brad Schneider and Jalen Ledger participated at the Weston Hills CC and Kyler Tate and Kyle Wilshire played at Mission Inn.

In total, three of the four alumni qualified in Schneider, Tate and Wilshire.

Tate shined as he finished tied for 5th out of 108 total participants. The 2019 UCF graduate posted 284(-4) total through four rounds of play, including a second-best 69(-3) second round. As a result, Tate is fully exempt for the first half of the 2020 season.

Participating in the same tournament at Mission Inn, Wilshire, who played with the Knights from 2010-2014, finished tied for 24th after posting a 291(+3) total. He too is fully exempt for the first half of the 2020 season.

Brad Schneider finished the highest out of all four UCF alums and had a stellar Thursday on the course to secure his status. On Thursday, Schneider was one of only two players to shoot a day-low, 2-under 70. A former Korn Ferry Tour member, where he has made 44 career starts, and the Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada, where he played 11 events in 2016, Schneider trusted his ball-striking Thursday.

Starting on No. 10 early in the afternoon on Thursday, Schneider birdied Nos. 12 and 14 before making a bogey on No. 15. A birdie on No. 17 allowed him to make the turn at 2-under. He went on to shoot even-par on the front, with a bogey on No. 1 and a birdie on No. 7.

"I've been hitting it good, and I hit good again today," said Schneider. "Actually, my only bogeys were two three-putts. I hit it really solid, kept the ball away from trouble and managed pretty well today to shoot 2-under."

In total, Schneider shot 281(-7) to finish third overall at Weston Hills.

The final alum, Jalen Ledger, who last played for the Knights last season, posted a score of 230 before disqualifying.
