ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's basketball team closes out nonconference action on Monday evening, hosting Central Michigan. in Addition Financial Arena.
 
The Knights (7-4) host the Chippewas (7-3) at 6 p.m. for the final game of 2019.

Orlando's Got Talent Quarterfinals – Six quarterfinalists for the first-ever Orlando's Got Talent will take center court at halftime. Alongside a panel of three pre-determined judges for the first quarterfinal round, each audience member in attendance will receive three (3) raffle tickets to help pick the top three performers of the night. The three acts from the Tuesday's quarterfinals will advance to the semifinal round on Jan. 25.

KNIGHT NOTES
UCF brings a three-game win streak into its final nonconference contest. The Knights are led offensively by the reigning American Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week, Kay Kay Wright. The Orlando native scored 70 points over the course of three games, bumping her scoring average to 15.0 points per game.
 
Four additional Knights are just outside averaging double figures. Sianni Martin is second on the squad at 9.1 points per game. Three consecutive double-digit performances from Brittney Smith pushed her scoring average to 8.7 points per game. Smith is second in rebounding with 5.4 boards per game.

Georgia Gayle averages 8.5 points per game for the Black and Gold. Masseny Kaba, who leads UCF with 5.6 rebounds per game, averages 8.2 points per game.
 
The Knights defense has stepped up this season. UCF ranks 35th in the country in turnovers forced (20.73), 44th in scoring defense (56.7) and 44th in turnover margin (4.82).
 
UCF also leads The American and ranks 31st nationally with a 75.8 free throw percentage.

SCOUTING THE CHIPPEWAS
Central Michigan brings a seven-game win streak into Monday's game and sits at 7-3 overall.  A trio of Chippewas average double figures, led by Micaela Kelly's 23.4 points per game. Kyra Bussell averages 14.7 points and is Central Michigan's leading rebounder with 7.5 per game.
 
The Chippewas rank 14th nationally with a 46.8 field goal percentage and their 38.3 three-point field goal percentage ranks 15th in the nation. Central Michigan averages 9.0 three-pointers made per game, which ranks 14th among Division I teams.
 
The Knights face the Chippewas for the second straight year, but host Central Michigan for the first time since 2005. The series is tied at 1-1, but Central Michigan holds the most recent victory thanks to a 75-68 win in Mount Pleasant last year.
