TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF cross country team wrapped its season at the 2019 NCAA South Region Final on Friday morning.
"I'm proud of how the women competed this morning," UCF assistant coach Bryan Jackson said. "Everyone raced with the level of energy and inspiration that is required in a championship event. It was good for these individuals to end the season on a positive note."
Four Charlotte Crook finished just off her personal best time, crossing the line in 22:07.1.
Kaitlyn Soltis improved her 6K time by more than 20 seconds, finishing in 22:41.3.
Jamie Tomassetti and Jewel Walters rounded out the UCF competitors at regionals. Tomassetti finished in 23:15.9 and Walters crossed the line in 23:20.5.
The Knights will now turn their focus to the track and field season. Indoor competition begins Jan. 11 at the Orange and Purple Elite at Clemson.
