UCF Signs Lakewood's Jamille Reynolds

ORLANDO –  The UCF men's basketball team just began its 2019-20 season, but on Thursday the Knights signed two players to the class of 2020-21. Joining Isaiah Adams will be Jamille Reynolds, who inked a National Letter of Intent this afternoon.

Reynolds, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound big man, will join the Knights out of Lakewood Prep in St. Petersburg.  UCF fans may remember Lakewood as the high school of former Knight football stars and current Seattle Seahawks Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin.

"We're excited about the signing of Jamille," UCF head coach Johnny Dawkins said. "He's a talented post player and has skills on both ends of the floor. We can't wait to get to work with Jamille on the court and have him as a member of our UCF family."

As a junior in 2018-19, Reynolds averaged over 12 points, nearly six rebounds and more than two blocked shots per game. He earned Suncoast All-Tournament Team honors and was a Bay News 9 Athlete of the Week en route to leading Lakewood to the Florida Class 6A State Championship game.

Reynolds was a four-star recruit as rated by ESPN, and received three stars from both 247 Sports and Rivals. He has been ranked as high as the seventh best player in the class out of the state of Florida.
