UCF Rises to #5 in Latest Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Riding a 15-match unbeaten streak, the UCF men's soccer team improved on their best ranking in program history as they check in at No. 5 in the latest release of the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

The Knights collected a record 549 voting points, putting them ahead of Washington, who was last week's top team in the nation. UCF sits behind Clemson, Virginia, Georgetown and Stanford in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Stanford checks in at No. 4 with 586 voting points, just 37 ticks ahead of the Black and Gold.

UCF topped their previous best ranking of No. 7 back on Oct. 29 when they checked in at No. 6 in the country. The Knights have been in the United Soccer Coaches Poll since Oct. 9 of last season.

In the NCAA men's soccer RPI, the Knights checked in at No. 3 for the second consecutive week, sitting behind only Virginia and Georgetown. Since the RPI debuted this season on Oct. 14, UCF has not left the top 5.

TopDrawer Soccer has the Knights pegged at No. 3 in their poll. The Black and Gold have been inside the top 10 in their poll for the last seven weeks and make their return to No. 3 for the first time since Oct. 14.

UP NEXT
UCF received a bye in the first round of The American championship tournament as they are the No. 1 seed. They'll face the No. 5 seeded Temple Owls in the semifinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to the final of the conference tournament.
