ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team was in action in three different time zones on Sunday. The day was highlight by Nandini Sharma winning the Bedford Cup in Ft. Myers, Fla.

BEDFORD CUP
After dominating her way to the Bedford Cup final, Sharma was able to win the finale over Lucia Montano of UNF. The match was the closest that Sharma had encountered over the weekend. Sharma wound up with the championship victory by a count of 6-4, 6-4 as she won her four matches throughout the tournament in straight sets. Sharma is now 7-2 early on in the fall season.

ITA ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Marie Mattel won Sunday's pre-qualifying finale against Selin Ovunc of Illinois in a tight contest. After dropping the first frame, Mattel rallied to win the match 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 to punch her ticket to the qualifying draw which begins on Monday.

Monday will see three Knights in action in Tulsa as No. 62 Ksenia Kuznetsova and No. 98 Rebeka Stolmar will begin their tournament on Monday. Kuznetsova will begin her journey as the No. 9 seed in the qualifying draw and will square off against Santa Clara's Maddie Pothoff at 8:30 a.m. Stolmar is slated to face Purdue's Ena Babic at 8:30 a.m. as well. Mattel will continue her journey through the ITA All-American Championships as she will face Ole Miss' Sabina Machalova, who is the No. 4 seed of the draw.

ITF $15K: Chornomorsk, Ukraine
Landed as a transfer this offseason, Evgeniya Levashova is set to join the Knights in the spring. Prior to her joining the Black and Gold on the courts, Levashova continues to compete in events around the globe. On Sunday, she won both the singles and doubles tournaments of an ITF $15K event in Ukraine. Levashova was tabbed as the No. 8 seed in the tournament and topped the No. 4 seeded Federica Arcidiacono 6-0, 6-4. In doubles, Levashova teamed up with Taisya Pachkaleva to form the No. 2 seed in the doubles draw. The pair would go on to defeat a Ukrainian duo who topped the No. 1 seed by a count of 6-4, 6-1.
