ORLANDO – UCF Athletics is introducing a new fan engagement opportunity for the 2019-20 basketball season: a CUE Live-powered, crowdsourced light show – or the Knight Lights Show.
During every home men's and women's basketball game this season, fans will participate like never before – using their smartphones and CUE Live technology any time Zombie Nation is played.
The technology will also be used during the intro video for men's basketball games to help get Addition Financial Arena rocking for the start of each and every home basketball contest.
In order to participate, fans simply need to download the UCF Gameday app from the app store. When the announcer prompts the audience, or when Zombie Nation starts playing, fans will open the app, and CUE's inaudible triggers will take over, pulsing fans' smartphone flashlights and LED screens in sync to the beat.
CUE technology doesn't require cellular service, Bluetooth or a wi-fi connection to work, eliminating the connectivity issues that typically plague sporting events.
In addition to the light show, the CUE Audio app will also provide trivia on your favorite Knight teams during home games for men's basketball and women's basketball to enhance the gameday entertainment.
