ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The five-time defending American Athletic Conference champion UCF rowing team opens its 2019-20 campaign this weekend. The Knights announced their full racing schedule on Friday.

On the agenda for the fall, UCF is sending a pair of eights to race at the Princeton Chase on Oct. 27 and head to Virginia for the Rivanna Romp Nov. 16-17. 

Tennessee returns to Orlando for a scrimmage on Lake Pickett Feb. 29 before the spring slate officially opens.

Making its 23rd consecutive appearance, UCF opens the spring on March 7 at the Metro Cup. The annual Winter Park event takes place on Lake Maitland. 

The Knights will split their squad the weekend of March 20-21. While a portion of the squad hosts fellow American Athletic Conference squad UConn, along with Jacksonville, for a regatta on Lake Pickett March 20, the remainder head to the Cooper River Invite in Cherry Hill. The Knights close out March action at the UVA Invite March 26-28.
 
April action begins at the Sunshine State Invite in Sarasota April 3-4 before heading to the Clemson Invite April 16-19. The month closes out with a regatta on Lake Pickett April 25.
 
In a final tune-up, the Knights will travel to Worcester, Mass., for the Eastern Sprints May 2-3.
 
The American Athletic Conference Championship returns to Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif., as the Knights look to defend their conference title on May 16.
 
The 2020 NCAA Championships will take place in Oak Ridge, Tenn., May 29-31. 

The Knights won their fifth straight AAC Championship and posted a fifth-consecutive Top 20 finish at the NCAA Championship. UCF's Varsity Four became the first boat in UCF Rowing history to earn a Top 15 finish at NCAAs.
