UCF Leads the Way Following First Round of Tavistock Collegiate

WINDERMERE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Men's Golf team leads the pack following the first round of the prestigious Tavistock Collegiate Invitational on Sunday, shooting a combined 280(-8) to hold sole possession of first place over some of the top golf programs in the nation.

The Knights' 280 total is five strokes less than the next best school, Florida, who shot 285(-3) in the first round of play, and 13 strokes lower than reigning Tavistock Collegiate champions Vanderbilt, who collectively shot 293(+8).

Jordan Sahaddi set the pace for The Black and Gold, shooting 68(-4) to finish tied for third individually, just one stroke shy of first place.
 
Johnny Travale, who led the way for the Knights at the Prairie Club Invitational last time out, and Tommy Cao followed closely behind Sarhaddi's pace. The duo each shot under par, with a 69(-3) and 71(-1) score, respectively.

Rounding things out for the Knights, Clement Charmasson finished even with par with a round one total of 72, while Juan Delgado shot 78(+6).

Round two of the Tavistock Collegiate Invitational will tee-off tomorrow, October 21, at 8:00 a.m., with the Knights teeing off at 9:40 a.m. You can follow along live at Golfstat.com.
