TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's tennis team's duo of Rebeka Stolmar and Marie Mattel won the main doubles draw of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships on Monday morning as they defeated Georgia's Vivian Wolff and Eleni Christofi 8-5.
The UCF duo came into the fall ranked No. 31 in the country and have posted an 11-1 mark since that time. Their lone loss to this point came at the ITA All-American Championships in the semifinals. The win over Georgia's 19th ranked Wolff/Christofi gives the Knight pair their third ranked win of the fall.
Stolmar and Mattel have only lost twice since teaming up on the court. In the spring, the duo went 14-1 and won their last nine matches. The final edition of the 2019 spring rankings had the pair at No. 78. UCF's number two pair seems to be poised for another incredible spring.
