Knights Defenders Pick Up Conference Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – In a week that saw the No. 21 UCF women's soccer team battle to two shutouts, a pair of Knights have been recognized by the American Athletic Conference. The league announced on Monday that senior defender Konya Plummer has been named the Defensive Player of the Week, while redshirt freshman Caroline DeLisle picked up Rookie of the Week honors.

Konya Plummer anchored the back line in both of the Knights overtime shutouts and was a pivotal part of a defense that only allowed three shots from Temple in Thursday's matchup.

Picking up two more shutouts and four total saves on the week, Caroline DeLisle now has seven shutouts in the 2019 campaign.
