UCF Pair Earns Conference Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After defeating the Florida Gators on the road, a pair of UCF women's soccer players were recognized by the American Athletic Conference on Monday. Senior Konya Plummer was named The American Defensive Player of the Week and Ally Gudorf was named the league's Rookie of the Week.

Konya Plummer led the UCF backline to absorb seven shots from the Florida attack. The Knights only allowed a single shot on goal in the contest.

Newcomer Ally Gudorf set the tone for the match with the Gators, being a nuisance for the Gator defense. Gudorf netted the first goal of her collegiate career in the third minute after fighting through multiple defenders.

UCF posted its first shutout and victory of the 2019 season with a 2-0 victory over Florida on Sept. 8.
