CHARLESTON, S.C. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's golf team will begin its fall slate this weekend with the two-day Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C. beginning Sept. 8.
Representing UCF will be Maria Balcazar, Elizabeth Moon, Chinatsu Kobayashi, Ana Laura Collado, and newcomer Tunrada Priddon.
The Knights face a field of 15 other teams, including six teams among the top 25 – No. 5 Florida State, No. 7 Vanderbilt, No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 13 Auburn, and No. 18 Arkansas.
The Classic is held at Yeamans Hall Club, a 6,301-yard par 72 course. UCF tees off their first round Monday at 8:45 a.m.
Last season, the Knights finished in second place at the American Athletic Conference Championship, and for the first time since the 1995-96 season, the UCF women's golf team earned a bid to the NCAA National Championships.
