VALENTINE, Neb. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Men's Golf team wrapped up the 2019 Prairie Club Invitational tied for fifth on Monday, finishing with a total score of 901(+25) through three rounds of play. The tournament marked the third for the Knights in the month of September, as they finished tied for third to open the year at the Island Resort Collegiate Invitational, and first overall for the second straight year at the Hartford Hawks Invitational earlier in the month.
Following the first two rounds of play yesterday, the Black and Gold were shooting 599(+15) and were sitting in fifth place. In the final round, UCF shot 302(+10) to finish with the 901 total, tying Nebraska and beating out South Alabama. The Knights shot 35 Birdies and an Eagle at the Invitational.
For the second tournament in a row, Johnny Travale set the pace for the Knights as he shot 222(+3), including a team-low second round total of 69(-4). Meanwhile, Clement Charmasson trailed closely behind, shooting 223(+4) through three rounds of play.
Competing individually, Juan Delgado shot 234(+15) in the tournament.
Next up, The UCF Men's Golf team will host the renowned Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at the Isleworth Country Club in Lake Butler, Florida. The Invitational will be held from October 20-22 and will include some of the most prominent collegiate golf teams in the country.

BY THE NUMBERS
The Prairie Club Invitational marked the final tournament for the Knights in the month of September. They opened the season by finishing tied for third at the Island Resort Invitational, where they shot 859(-5) to finish ahead of schools like Michigan State and Kentucky.
UCF finished first overall at Hartford Hawks Invitational two weekends ago, where they shot 840(-24) to beat out SECs schools like LSU as well as AAC schools like UConn. Between the three tournaments the Knights played in over the month, they shot a combined four under par.
