HARRIS, MICH. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's golf team concluded their first fall tournament tied for third place at the Island Resort Collegiate Invitational. The Knights' three-round total came to 859 (-5), which put them even with East Carolina, one stroke ahead of Michigan State of the Big Ten, and 14 strokes ahead of sixth-place Kentucky of the SEC.
Clement Charmasson led the way for the Knights, shooting 69 (-3) in his best round and totaling 211 to finish in fifth place.
Tommy Cao improved across all three rounds to shoot the best individual round for UCF at 68 (-4) on the final day. Cao finished tied eighth overall with a 214 (-2).
Individually, Teddy Tetak shot a 218, including a 70 (-2) in his second round. Tetak was the third-best finisher for the Knights' and tied for 15th overall.
Juan Delgado and Johnny Travale each shot an even par as their best round, finishing with a 220 (+4) and a 221 (+5) respectively.
As a team, the Knights' picked up 19 birdies and came up with even par on 43 holes.
