ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's tennis team has announced their 2019-20 fall tournament schedule. It consists of eight tournaments and includes three events sanctioned by the ITA and two futures events.
The first weekend of the fall is a busy one as the Knights begin their tournament season with everyone in play, but in two different locations. Gabriel Decamps' fall begins at the ITA Oracle Masters in Malibu, Calif. from Sept. 26-29. The rest of the team will be at the Southern Intercollegiates in Athens, Ga. from Sept. 27-29.
After their busy opening weekend, UCF will head to the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa Okla. which begins on Oct. 5 and runs for nine days.
The Knights then travel to Tallahassee to participate in the Bedford Cup. Last year, the Bedford Cup was held at UCF's home, the USTA National Campus. Alan Rubio came out of the tournament with some new hardware as he won the Bedford Cup. The Black and Gold have found success in this tournament; in 2017 Mikhail Sokolovskiy and Vasyl Kiselyov reached the finals in both singles flights. The 2019 Bedford Cup begins on Oct. 11.
UCF will head to ITA Regionals in Gainesville, Fla. to start the second half of their tournament schedule. The Knights will then participate in back to back USTA Futures events in late October and early November before wrapping up their tournament schedule at the Wake Forest Invitational.
