ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After an impressive first outing of the 2019-20 season, the UCF men's golf team heads to South Kent, Conn., to compete in the Hartford Hawks Invitational hosted by Hartford University.
The Knights will play at the Bull's Bridge Golf Club. Opened in 2004, it features a par-72 course totaling 6,992 yards. Score updates will be provided throughout the invitational here on UCFKnights.com.
The 17-team field will participate in a 54-hole tournament from Monday, September 15 – Tuesday, September 16. The competition for the Knights includes Hartford, TCU, UConn, Sacred Heart, Fairfield, Seton Hall, Fordham, Rider, Wagner, St. Francis Brooklyn, Bryant, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hofstra, Mount St. Mary's, Texas Rio Grande Valley and LIU.
UCF is coming off the Island Resort Collegiate Invitational (Harris, Mich.), where the Knights shot five-under par (859) to finish tied for third. Liberty led the way by shooting nine-under par (855) to claim the first spot over the competition.
Clement Charmasson led the way for the Knights, shooting 69 (-3) in his best round and totaling 211 to finish in fifth place.
Below is the qualifying information that determined the lineup for the Hartford Hawks Invitational.
Qualifying Information
- Clement Charmasson was exempt from qualifying and will play in the first spot in the lineup for the 2019 Hartford Hawks Invitational by virtue of finishing in the Top-seven at the Island Resort Intercollegiate.
- Jordan Sarhaddi qualified for the second spot in the lineup for the 2019 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue of finishing second in the five-round qualifier with a score of Even Par.
- Johnny Travale qualified for the third spot in the lineup for the 2019 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue of finishing second in the five-round qualifier with a score of +3.
- Guillermo Estivill qualified for the fourth spot in the lineup for the 2019 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue finishing third in the five-round qualifier with a score of +5.
- Tommy Cao will play in the fifth spot in the lineup as a coaches' selection for the 2019 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue of finishing eighth at the Island Resort Intercollegiate.
Colin Kresl will participate as an individual at the 2018 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue of finishing fifth in the five-round qualifier with a score of +8.
Teddy Tetak will participate as an individual at the 2018 Hartford Hawk Invitational by virtue of finishing sixth in the five-round qualifier with a score of +13.
