ORLANDO – Former UCF forward Chad Brown is set to play in the NBA G League International Challenge Presented by Antel later this month. Brown is one of 12 players selected to compete in the competition in Uruguay later this month.
The NBA G League and Antel, a longtime NBA partner and leading telecommunications company in Uruguay, announced back in June that the NBA G League International Challenge – a basketball exhibition tournament comprised of teams from around the world – would be held at the Antel Arena in Montevideo, Uruguay for the first time from Wednesday, Sept. 18 – Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019.
On Thursday, the 12-man roster for the G League team was announced, including Brown, who joins 11 players who played in the G League a season ago. The team will be coaches by Raptors 905 head coach Jama Mahlalela.
Following his career with the Knights, Brown played in the NBA Summer League with his hometown Orlando Magic.
Brown was a member of UCF's 2018-19 team that earned the program's first at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament and won 24 games, including the school's first NCAA Tournament victory, a first-round defeat of VCU.
