Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Rising sophomore Elizabeth Moon competed in the opening round of the 2019 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss. to start the week.
The American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year put up back-to-back rounds of 74 (+2) Monday and Tuesday to finish 4-over across the two rounds of stroke play. She narrowly missed the cut falling one stroke short to advance in the 125th edition of the tournament. Moon finished tied for 65th, with the top 64 advancing to the next round out of the field of 156.
