ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women's soccer team continues its campaign as they host another Big Ten foe in Ohio State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the UCF Soccer Complex. This will be the first official contest between the two programs.

The Knights

  • UCF is looking to bounce back after dropping a 1-0 decision against Wisconsin in the season opener on Sunday.
  • Forward Mallory Olsson leads the Knights in shots and shots on goal with three and two respectively. Olsson played in 71 minutes in the last match.
  • The Knights put up nine shots, six of which came in the first half. The UCF goalkeeper made three saves, allowing the lone goal on a loose ball in the six yard box.
  • Following the match at home, UCF will travel to Fairfax, Va. for a matchup with George Mason University in the first road trip of the season.

The Buckeyes

  • The Ohio State women's soccer team started the 2019 season receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
  • The Buckeyes opened the season with back to back home losses against Louisville (2-1) and Missouri (3-1).
  • A season ago, the Buckeyes finished at 9-6-4 and qualified for the Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament. The Buckeyes were bounced out of the tournament after their match with Nebraska went to penalty kicks.

Student Knight

  • The first 200 students will receive an "Express Pass" for the UCF Football season opener vs. FAMU on Thursday, Aug. 29.
    • Students will receive a wristband pre-match and will receive the Express Pass voucher at the end of the match.
    • Express Pass recipients should use Gate 5 at the football game on Aug. 29.
  • UCF Intramural Sports will also be in attendance with open registration for fall intramural sports.
    • Students will receive UCF "Orlando's Hometown Team" car magnet and flag for signing up for an intramural sport.
