ORLANDO – Thursday’s UCF Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon aired live on UCFKnightsTV1, one of UCF’s new Twitch channels, marking the first of many live broadcasts for UCF Athletics on the streaming site during the 2019-20 season.
All UCF football weekly and post-game press conferences, as well as all soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball and women’s basketball games that aren’t televised will air live on the Knights’ new Twitch channel for free.
Twitch has a large built-in audience of over 15 million daily active users. Originally focused on video gaming, Twitch has expanded into the athletics world with partnerships across a variety of franchises and sports.
“We’re very excited about this new direction for our live streaming services,” UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Danny White said. “Twitch, a creative and innovative platform in the streaming world, is the perfect fit for the future largest fan base in college sports to watch our content.”
UCF fans that have made their voices heard on social media can continue that trend on Twitch, which has a built in chat with every stream, making it easy for fans to connect with each other and for UCF Athletics to connect with viewers in real time.
All live streaming content can be accessed by going to UCFKnights.TV on any browser on desktop or mobile. Twitch is readily available on iPhone, Android, PC, Mac, and any other device fans may want to use to watch the Knights. Twitch is widely accessible.
The Twitch app is downloadable on all mobile devices as well as on Roku, AppleTV, Amazon and any Smart TV. UCF fans are encouraged to delete the UCFKnightsTV app on any device and download the Twitch app.
All football press conferences, as well as men’s soccer games this fall will air live on UCFKnightsTV1 on Twitch. Volleyball and women’s soccer matches will stream live on UCFKnightsTV2. Both channels are available by searching UCF Knights on Twitch.TV.
Fan favorite on-demand content like KnightFlicks and The Quest are also set to premiere on Twitch before reaching other social media platforms, so fans should be glued to Twitch.TV to access all of their favorite UCF Knights content.
