McCrae Named to CFPA Watch lIst

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – Standout UCF junior running back Greg McCrae is one of six running backs listed as the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) announced its 2019 preseason watch list for the CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy.

 

Thirty-four players earned spots on the list, including 2018 CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy winner Tua Tagovailoa. The 2019 CFPA National Performer of the Year Trophy is a 22-inch K-9 optic crystal tower with eight-inch crystal football on top. All NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) players are eligible for the award. The award-winner will be announced Jan. 15, 2020.

 

McCrae, a 5-10, 175-pounder from Miami, Florida, led UCF in rushing in 2018 with 1,182 yards (133 carries) to go with 10 touchdowns. He finished with three 100-yard games (one 200-yarder) on his way to the fourth-highest single-season total in the Knights’ history. His 8.89-yards-per-carry figure from 2018 ranked second nationally.
