ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men’s tennis team started their 2019-20 freshman class with a bang as the Knights sign blue-chip recruit JanMagnus Johnson.
Hailing from Naples, Fla., Johnson had been ranked as high as the No. 5 prospect according to the Tennis Recruiting Network. Recently, he was victorious at the South Carolina ITF U18 tournament as well as the Evert American ITF U18. Johnson also qualified for the main draws of the Orlando and Sunrise ITF World Tennis Tours.
Johnson fits nicely with last season's recruiting class as the Knights boasted the No. 8 class in the nation. He is the second blue-chip recruit UCF has collected in the past two seasons, as Trey Hilderbrand joined the Knights and had an incredible freshman campaign in 2018-19.
