ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The 2019 cross country schedule, which was announced on Tuesday, is highlighted by five in-state meets and the UCF Invitational in September.
The Knights open the fall campaign on Aug. 30 at the FAU Invitational before heading to Gainesville for the Mountain Dew Invitational on Sept. 14.
For the second straight year, the Knights will host the UCF Invitational. The Black and Gold welcome teams for an evening race on Sept. 27 in conjunction with Family Weekend on campus.
UCF continues action in the Sunshine State on Oct. 11, heading to Florida State as a final preparation for the American Athletic Conference Championship, held in Memphis on Nov. 1.
The 2019 NCAA South Regional will take place in Tallahassee on Nov. 15, followed by the NCAA Championship on Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.
The Knights return experience as their top finishers from last season - Victoria Jung, Charlotte Crook, Jessica Dolan and Kaitlyn Soltis – are all back for the 2019 campaign. Jung, a rising senior, was UCF’s top finisher in five of six meets last fall, while Crook was among the top two during her rookie season.
