ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Adding to the UCF women’s golf team’s haul of historic honors, junior Ana Laura Collado received an all-region honor from the WGCA after leading the Knights at the NCAA Cle Elum Regional on May 6-8.
Collado finished tied for second with a score of 10-under. The junior started off hot on the first day of the tournament with a six-under, 66, before an even-par round on day two. The Xalapa, Mexico, native closed strong with a 4-under, 68.
Collado guided the Knights to their first NCAA National Championship appearance since 1996. UCF closed the tournament in sixth place at 874 (+10), one shot ahead of Ohio State for the final qualifying spot.
