ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – UCF Baseball added to its postseason award haul on Wednesday afternoon as catcher Dallas Beaver was named to the ABCA/Rawlings South All-Region Second Team.
The junior led the way for the Knights during the 2019 season. He hit a career-high .316 with a .455 on-base percentage. Beaver topped the team with 56 RBI and finished fifth in The American. He notched a team-best 12 home runs and drew 56 free passes, split between 44 walks and 12 hit by pitches.
Beaver was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll once and totaled 18 multi-hit and 18 multi-RBI games. During the season, he went on a career-long 20-game on-base streak. One of the best moments of the year came when the Kissimmee, Fla., native homered twice and drove in a career-high five RBI on Skinner Strong Knight against Memphis.
A total of 23 Knights have received ABCA All-Region accolades in program history. Beaver is the first since Robby Howell’s selection in 2017.
