CLE ELUM, Wash. (UCFKnights.com) – For the first time since the 1995-96 season, the Knights are headed to the NCAA National Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
UCF shot 286(-2) on the final day and finished sixth to secure their spot in the National Championship and an 874(+10) for the three days.
Ana Laura Collado stayed in the top two for the entirety of the tournament with the best 54-hole scores of her collegiate career to finish tied for second overall. She tallied 16 birdies compared to six bogies for a 206(-10) total over the three rounds after shooting 68(-4) to finish the event.
Collado posted the second-best 54-hole score over all four regions and the second best in program history. Her 10-under score is the best of her collegiate career.
Elizabeth Moon shot her best round of the tournament with a 70(-2) on the day for a three-day total of 222(+6). Moon finished with nine birdies and will head back to her home state of Arkansas to compete for a National Championship.
Maria Balcazar wrapped up the NCAA Regional with a 73(+1) for a tournament total of 219(+3). Balcazar birdied the 18th hole to move the team into fifth place and above the cut. The junior tallied six birdies and an eagle over the three-day event.
In their first NCAA Regional, Alyssa Lamoureux and Chinatsu Kobayashi finished with a 75(+3) and an 81(+9) respectively. Lamoureux heads home with a 227(+11) and Kobayashi with a 242(+26).
The Knights continued to dominate the par fives throughout the course of the tournament averaging 4.84(-12).
UCF finished ahead of for 12 other schools and compiled six Power 6 wins.

The Knights will advance to the NCAA National Championships from May 17-22 at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
